Customer reviews:
“I loved the interaction between, not only Jack and Herbert, but Herbert and Jean – Jack’s grandma. This really is a story that so many families can relate to. Love pours through each chapter and the heartwarming ending is just magical.”
“An absolutely wonderful, light-hearted story full of fun and adventure.
If only we could all have a Time Machine!”
“This book has it all; adventure, humour, families and lots of excitement. We were gripped and didn’t want to stop reading. We’ve had lots of late nights as a result, but it was worth it! Herbie and Jack have a really special relationship and the book taught my son to work hard to fulfil his dreams.”

We are thrilled to announce we are collaborating with Cornwall A.O.N.B. to publish a short story collection, ’12 Stories for 12 Sections’.
Cornwall AONB is unique in that it is a single designation made up of 12 separate sections. This project commissioned writers based in Cornwall to create short stories situated in the protected landscape. Each writer was guided through their assigned section and given creative freedom to let their imagination weave a narrative, capturing the essence of the distinctive, beautiful sections and showcasing the cultural heritage of the protected landscape to inspire, connect and engage with audiences from Cornwall, and beyond.
The collection will feature new and established authors, including:
And throughout, the stories will be illustrated by the hugely talented James Innerdale.
’12 Stories for 12 Sections’ is not due to be released until Easter 2024, but we are already very excited!
Best wishes,
Hermitage Press Team
